LOWER BLEPHAROPLASTY FOR EYE BAGS REMOVAL
Eye bags and under eye fat herniation are one of the factors which give tired puffy eyes and gives abnormal aging appearance ,it can occur with aging due to weakness of muscles and ligaments in lower eyelid or in youth due to genetic factors.
Causes of puffiness and oedema around the eye in the lids:
1- lower eye lids weakness of muscles and septum with protrusion of the fat around the globe
2-Bacterial or viral infection of the eye with consequence eyelid swelling
3- Generalized oedema of the body due to medical conditions like liver,kidney and thyroid diseases which lead to salt and water retention
4-Enlarged of the round muscle of the eye(orbicularis muscle) due to genetic or aging factors

After proper Examination of the globe and it was found that eye puffiness is due to fat herniation with eye bags appearance ,a special protocol is the planned for every patient to get rid of this eye bags.
Surgical correction of Eye bags:
-In most of cases is done through transconjunctival approach from inside the lower eyelids under local anaethesia,prolapsed fat is then excised or transposed to the cheek to give youthful lid cheek junction and contour.
-In cases of excess skin ,it must be removed surgically to give more beautiful look
Postoperative period:
Surgery is away from the eye ,you can return to work after 3 days.
